Welcome and Intro

Welcome to Confounded! My name is Greg and my partner in crime and life is Keith.

Why in the world would we want to emphasize being Confounded as the name of our endeavor? The definition of being confounded is being surprised, perplexed, dazed, bewildered, staggered or unnerved. A familiar feeling for me in life in general, I admit. But what do you do when that you’re feeling this while trying to enjoy the things in life you enjoy most.

Over the years, I have said to those who know me best that I’m happiest when traveling, especially with Keith, my partner of 26 years. But traveling, joyful as it is for us, can often find us feeling exactly like that…confounded, especially at our advancing age.

I’m 61 and Keith is 57. Travel has been integral for each of us before we ever met and cemented as key to our lifestyle in the 26 years we have been together. We have traveled all 50 states together and enjoyed a bit of Europe, Canada and the Caribbean.

Now, our goal is to continue traveling throughout what’s left of our lives however possible. But the way, as we age, gets more than a little confounding at times.

Our goal is provide some guidance through our own trial and error…finding the best ways by doing what we do best…stumbling and meandering our way through it all.

We will review some of what we learned over our years of traveling and share what we discover as we continue with that endeavor. We aim to provide clarity and guidance while sharing our journeys through life.
